DT

Updated: Jul 7, 2023

UA has an extra credit course called DT (Discipleship Training). Seekers (Students) can earn exclusive badges if they survive spiritual bootcamp training. Students are required to read books of The Book (The Bible), both Old and New as well as the other canon books the early church threw away. The books or letters seekers encounter require mental focus and discipline to understand. After reading, seekers must answer questions to the best of their ability. If their answers are correct or close to being correct a Director will reward them with a badge. If seekers complete all of their DT, they will receive a digital certificate and graduate with honors once they have completed Proélefsi (Origin).

Below is a sample of a DT Study - Deuteronomy.

“For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love Yahweh thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and Yahweh thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

DT Overview: Notice how this scripture says Yahweh isn’t hiding the truth or His decrees from us. These instructions are not far away out of our reach, but right in front of us, yet humanity is behaving like those decrees don’t exist. They act like choosing or not choosing is too hard, but that’s not going to matter on our judgement day. We get what we deserve and when our Maker lays it out for us and informs us of what is going on and what we must do and we turn away, we are at fault. If someone winds up in Hell, Yahweh didn’t send them there—they sent themselves there. Evil we must rebuke and turn away from evil. It cannot go where the Godhead is, but isn't so ironic mortals want to go to where evil is and where the Godhead is not? All in the name of pleasure and selfishness.

DT Question: What awaits us if we choose to ignore Yahweh's warning about holiness and decide to embrace evil? What are the consequences for choosing curses and wickedness? Explain why holiness is crucial for Christians to reflect in their daily lives and explain what will happen to a soul if he/she does not choose to be holy.

This is just a brief example of what a seeker will need to do. Critical thinking is required and as much as we want to say there isn't a wrong answer to the DT questions, that is not true. When it comes to The Book and the divine decrees of the Elohim, there is a right answer as much as there is a wrong answer. It is up to the seekers to figure alone or in a study group what that right or wrong answer is and come to the proper conclusion for their answers.
