About The Event
Book: Jubilees
Info: Seekers who remember to honor the Elohim on the Sabbath (Friday-Saturday) once a month and uphold the Law Of The Sabbath as the book of Jubilees instructs, will be rewarded with the Keeper badge and a given a Hebrew bracelet with the Shema prayer on it as a reward. Outside of the event we encourage seekers to honor the Sabbath on the proper day in general, but if seekers cannot do that, then we hope whatever day they decide to honor as their Sabbath that they deem it holy and apply the Law Of The Sabbath on the day he/she chooses to rest.
Laws Regarding The Jubilees & The Sabbath | Chapter 1: 6-11
And behold the commandment regarding the Sabbaths--I have written them down for thee and all the judgements of its laws. Six days wilt thou labour, but on the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it ye shall no manner of work, ye and your sons (children) and your men-servants and your maid-servants and all your cattle and sojourner also who is with you. And the man that doeth any work on it shall die (this part is void under the New Testament, but you should still respect the original order stated.) Whoever desecrateth that day, whoever lieth with his wife or whosoever saith he will do something on it, that he will set out on a journey thereon in regard to any buying or selling an whosever draweth water thereon which he had no prepared for himself on the sixth day and whoever taketh up any burden to carry it out of his tent or out of his house shall die (you will not die if you do that under the New Testament, but you should still respect the original order and not take out anything, like trash or move objects, etc.) You shall do no work whatsoever on the Sabbath day save that ye have prepared for yourselves on the six day so as to eat and drink and rest and keep the Sabbath from all work on that day and to bless the Lord your God, who has given you a day of festival and a holy day and a holy kingdom for all Israel is this day among their days forever. For great is the honor which the Lord hath given to Israel that they should eat and drink and be satisfied on this festival day and rest thereon from all labour which belongeth to the labour of the children of men, save burning frankincense and bringing obligations and sacrifices before the Lord for days and for Sabbaths.
